Hello!
This happens with the clock applet when adding it to the panel:
panel encountered a problem while loading "OAFIID:GNOME_ClockApplet"
Google does not have a clue so far.
Would be nice to have a clock running with gnome 2.14 ;)

check out the gentoo forums. There's a loooooong sticky thread there on
gnome 2.14, which if you're trying, I suggest you bookmark.
Essentially, you have to re-emerge gnome-panel and gnome-applets.
