Yes, I thought so, because I did an --> emerge --depclean
-av;revdep-rebuild -av <-- before updating world.

Probably you won't get any font rendering related trouble. Let's see.

My latest xorg-server update was:

Right now I don't have the time (gotta do some work) to emerge
"="xorg-server-1.0.2-r3 and see what happens... But that's  next on my
to-do tasks.
