Commercial set-top DVD players can switch between left and right channels with a click of a button and cycle through all the options. My question here is how can that be done in Mplayer/Linux? I found that there is an option to play Left / Right / Stereo using mplayer, but the syntax is weird and cannot be switched on the fly. the 2 ways are using PAN and channels. eg: mplayer filename -af channels=2:2:1:0:1:1 mplayer filename -af pan=2:1:1:0:0 Anyone knows how to do it on the fly?
