Subject: [gentoo-user] etc/host.conf: line 24: bad command `mdns off'
Date: Tue, 21 Feb 2006 10:27:51 +0930 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <1140483471.10641.4.camel@orpheus> (raw)
Since my recent upgrade of glibc from glibc-2.3.6-r2 (Jan 18) to
glibc-2.3.6-r3 (Feb 21) I'm getting this error when starting emacs and
doing various other things:
etc/host.conf: line 24: bad command `mdns off'
according to equery /etc/host.conf belongs to glibc. I've rebooted, but
the behaviour is still there.
Any ideas?
thanks,

I don't have any solution but I certainly admire the problem.
