ALSA stopped working after some emerge -u world. Maybe something has changed with ALSA. While booting I get: Loading ALSA modules ... Loading snd-seq-oss ... [OK] Loading snd-pcm-oss ... [OK] Restoring mixer levels ... /usr/sbin/alsactl: load state:1250: Cannot find soundcard '0' ... Errors while restoring defaults, ignoring ... /usr/sbin/alsactl: load state:1250: Cannot find soundcard '1' ... Errors while restoring defaults, ignoring ... Sound was working - at least mpeg files were with sound. This started with an update world somewhen during november last year. I don't use sound so much but I've started to use ICQ so having it back on Gentoo too mwould be nice. Thanks in advance Frank -- gentoo-user@gentoo.org mailing list
