Everything appears to work well, but I am a bit puzzled by Grub. I have used Genkernel to build the kernel, so my Grub config file, grub.conf, is --------------------------------- default 0 timeout 30 splashimage=(hd0,0)/grub/spash.xpn.gz title=Gentoo Linux 2.6.11-r3 root (hd0,0) kernel /kernel-2.6.11-gentoo-r3 root=/dev/ram0 init=/linuxrc /ramdisk=8192 real_root=/dev/hda3 udev vga=791 initrd /initrd-2.6.11-gentoo-r3 ---------------------------------- What argument should I add to the kernel line so that Gentoo starts with a splash screen and the kernel shells support my 1024/768 display.
