I don't want to do like this anymore, so I removed the package and attempted to configure the interface manually. However, somewhere in my configs dhcp client is still called. How do I fix this? Also, I'd tried installing and configuring djbdns. I can't get the nameservers in resolv.conf to give me dns, even though I can ping them. And, starting sshd calls dhcp and kills the eth0 device. How can I fix this? Any takers? -- Michael Higgins -- gentoo-user@gentoo.org mailing list
