[gentoo-user] firestarter [Personal Linux Firewall]

I read through a few firewall products for my workstation and settled on
firestarter.  In reading through their docs, they say to enable 'every
option under iptables'. there are 36 possible choices here! (counting the
sub-choices under Full NAT Packet Filtering).  Is it necessary to build all
of these modules into the kernel in order for firestarter to work properly?

No, but would you rather build everything as a module (in case you find 
that you do need it at some point) or build research each module 
individually to find out what it is that you need?

I don't think there's any disadvantage to building everything as a module.
