Hi milis,
Beberapa hari yang lalu, eddy (newbix) dengan dermawan membeli domain
gentoo.or.id untuk komunitas Gentoo Indonesia. Beberapa hari ini,
beberapa orang telah mendiskusikan isi dan masa depan web tersebut
melalui IRC #gentoo-id @ freenode.net.
Antara lain: CMS (drupal atau mambo, ide lain?), forum (phpBB), jualan
CD Gentoo, dll yang mungkin terlupakan. Nantinya, profit dari jualan CD
Gentoo akan digunakan sebagian untuk membayar hosting dan sebagian lagi
disumbangkan kepada gentoo.org.
Saat ini kami masih membicarakan dimana gentoo.or.id akan dihost. Salah
satu ide dihost di www.rcthost.com karena melihat harganya yang murah
dan koneksinya yang kencang. Ada ide lain utk hostingan gentoo.or.id?
atau ada yang ingin menyumbangkan hosting? ;)
Nantinya setelah infrastruktur gentoo.or.id ter-setup, kita akan
membicarakan susunan organisasi gentoo indonesia. Bagi yang tertarik
untuk membantu atau berperan di organisasi ini, harap tuliskan di milis
ini.
