Naja, ich habe leider erst nach dem schreiben der letzten Mail
das entsprechende ebuild gelesen.
Gentoo benennt das neue configdir "~/.sylpheed-claws" und sagt
auch im entsprechenden ebuild in der Funktion "pkg_postinst()":
