Hallo, nachdem es mit dem Onboard-Chip ("sky2") des Intel-D915GEV-Boards
nun anscheinend doch wieder Probleme gibt (zumindest wenn der Client
Gigabit fährt), will ich eine separate PCI-Netzwerkkarte reinbauen,
die einfach als "Intel E1000" angesteuert werden kann.
Bei der Suche nach einer geeigneten Karte bin ich auf verschiedene Realtek-
Chipsätze gestoßen: RTL8110SC, RTL8153, RTL8169S, RTL8169SC... (von Digitus,
Exsys, LevelOne, Logilink etc.).
Laufen die alle "einfach so", wenn man CONFIG_E1000=y setzt, oder muss man
da irgendwas beachten? Was ist der Unterschied zwischen den ganzen Chip-
sätzen, und/oder gibts einen, der mit Gentoo "besonders gut" funktioniert?
