Hatte ich schon händisch durch Editieren der ~/.config/audacious/config
gemacht. Jetzt habe ich die Datei sicherheitshalber mal umbenannt und
neu erstellen lassen.
Dann diesmal über Preferences auf 'Front' gestellt.

Jein. Inzwischen weiß ich, dass ich nach dem Start von audacious ein
paar Sekunden Zeit habe, in denen die Lautstärke auf die Regler
reagiert. Anschließend dann nicht mehr.
Bei realplayer habe ich nicht einmal die paar Sekunden. Interessantes
Problem. :)
