Soweit mir bekannt liegt das jetzt unter /usr/share/hal/...
In /etc/fstab wird auch nichts mehr automatisch eingetragen.
Schau mal in Deine Gnome Sessions. Läuft denn der gnome-volume-manager
überhaupt nach dem Start des Desktops? Das war bei mir nach der
Installation von Gnome 2.12 nämlich nicht der Fall.
