hallooo
ich hab mit genkernel meinen Kernel neu compiliert... :
genkernel --bootsplash --install --no-clean --menuconfig all
und
genkernel --oldconfig all
und in der grub.conf
title=Gentoo Linux (2.6.12-gentoo-r10)
root (hd0,0)
kernel (hd0,0)/kernel-genkernel-x86-2.6.12-gentoo-r10 root=/dev/ram0
init=/linuxrc real_root=/dev/hda3 vga
=791
initrd (hd0,0)/initramfs-genkernel-x86-2.6.12-gentoo-r10
eingetragen / eintragen lassen
jetzt kommt beim booten die frage, welche auflösung ich haben möchte und kein
bootsplash... (die schrift ist auch grösser wie vorher)
später, wenn kdm gestartet werden soll, passiert nix, habe nvidia-grafikkarte
muss ich da noch was neukompilieren???

Sieht für mich so aus als wäre nach dem vga ein Zeilenende (vielleicht
auch schon nach root=/dev/ram0 ???). Das darf aber nicht sein. Probier
mal einfach die kernel-zeile von kernel (hd0,....... bis zu vga=791 in
eine Zeile zu schreiben.

nein, das ist es nicht, das kommt durch kmail.... in der /boot/grub/grub.conf
ist kein zeilenende

Probier mal anstatt dem vga=791 die option video=1024x768-32@60
bzw video=$auflösung-$farbtiefe@$bildwiederholrate

Wenn du nvidia-kernel benutzt, dann musst du das neukompilieren.

Hallo,
daran liegts aber nicht, da der framebuffer nicht von nvidia-kernel
abhängt, sondern von dem, was in den kernel als framebuffer-device
einkompiliert wurde.
Noch eine berichtigung: es muss heißen:
video=vesafb:ywrap,pmipal,1024x768-32@60
falls das nicht funktioniert hast du wahrscheinlich nicht den vesa
framebuffer im kernel, in diesem fall vielleicht nvidiafb?
