ich hab da ein Problem mit Firefox, ich versuche das java plugin zu
instalieren, aber mir stürzt jedemal der firefox ab :-(((
hab als normaler user folgendes probiert:
ln -s /opt/sun-jdk-1.4.2.09/jre/plugin/i386/ns610/libjavaplugin_oji.so
~/.mozilla/plugins/
oder als root:
ln
-sf /opt/sun-jdk-1.4.2.09/jre/plugin/i386/ns610/libjavaplugin_oji.so /opt/firefox/plugins/libjavaplugin_oji.so
aber bringt alles nix... :-(((
ein about:buildconfig zeigt:
i686-pc-linux-gnu-gcc gcc version 3.3.6 (Gentoo 3.3.6, ssp-3.3.6-1.0,

So ein altertümliches Java habe ich nicht mehr, aber ich habe mir den
damals bei eingesetzten Link aufbewahrt.
Beim 1.4.2 musste man darauf achten, mit welchem gcc Mozilla compiliert
worden war, um den richtigen Link zu erwischen.
hafi@t900:~$ ls -l j2re_1.4.2/link/libjavaplugin_oji.so
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 79 2004-10-30 08:40
j2re_1.4.2/link/libjavaplugin_oji.so ->
/home/hafi/j2re_1.4.2/j2re1.4.2_01/plugin/i386/ns610-gcc32/libjavaplugin_oji.so
^^^^^^^^^^^
Versuch es mal mit ns610-gcc32 statt mit ns610. :)
Oder nimm besser gleich ein moderneres Java.
