Folgende Meldung beim Bootvorgang:
"Skipping root filesystem check (fstab's passno == 0)"

In der fstab sollte jedoch alles richtig eingestellt sein:

UUID=ac31b6a8-d1c5-4133-8ae9-edddfda8572b reiserfs noatime 0 2

Hat jemand ne Idee?

Hmm, wohin soll das denn gemounted werden? Sicher das das root ist? Warum 
schreibst Du nicht die Devices oder FS Label rein?

Benutzt Du zum Booten eine initrd? Ist da vielleicht 'ne andere fstab drin?

Hi Dirk & Emil,

nutze kein initrd. Ja das ist das richtige Device. FS Label könnte ich
sicher auch benutzen. Hab damals aber irgendwie die UUID genommen...

Sicher muss die Zeile auch:
UUID=ac31b6a8-d1c5-4133-8ae9-edddfda8572b / reiserfs noatime 0 2 lauten.
Der Slash ist selbstverständlich in der fstab drin.

Boot ist in ner gesonderten Partion. Daher hab ich die passno 2 stehen,
dachte das wäre das normale Verhalten? Oder soll das auf 1? Allerdings
sollte er das ja auch auf 2 checken, was er anscheinend nicht tut.

Nein, / muß die 1 haben:

"The sixth field, (fs_passno), is used by the fsck(8) program to determine the 
order in which filesystem checks are done at reboot time. The root filesystem 
should be specified with a fs_passno of 1, and other filesystems should have 
a fs_passno of 2. Filesystems within a drive will be checked sequentially, 
but filesystems on different drives will be checked at the same time to 
utilize parallelism available in the hardware. If the sixth field is not 
present or zero, a value of zero is returned and fsck will assume that the 
filesystem does not need to be checked."

Ok. Die Ausgabe kommt von /etc/init.d/checkroot. Dieses Skript enthält in 
einer Abfrage folgenden Code, der prüfen soll, ob passno für / ungleich 0 
ist:

awk '($1 ~ /^(\/|UUID|LABEL)/ && $2 == "/" && NF == 6 && $6 != 0) \
{print }' /etc/fstab

Wenn in der Shell ausgeführt, sollte genau der Eintrag für "/" ausgegeben 
werden. Kannst Du das prüfen und außerdem die obige Zeile mit Deiner Version 
von /etc/init.d/checkroot vergleichen?

Ich weiss nicht welches baselayout du hast, aber bei meinem (1.12.10-r4)
und dem x86-stable (1.12.9-r2) schaut das in der /etc/init.d/checkroot
so aus:

    # Obey the fs_passno setting for / (see fstab(5))
    # - find the / entry
    # - make sure we have 6 fields
    # - see if fs_passno is something other than 0
    if [[ -n $(awk '($1 ~ /^(\/|UUID|LABEL)/ && $2 == "/" \
                    && NF == 6 && $6 != 0) { print }' /etc/fstab) ]]
    then
        ebegin "Checking root filesystem"
        fsck -C -T -a /

Das Problem muss also wohl irgendwie mit dem awk zusammenhängen. Evtl schaust
du einfach mal ob die checkroot bei dir auch so aussieht, und was

    awk '($1 ~ /^(\/|UUID|LABEL)/ && $2 == "/" && NF == 6 && $6 != 0) { print }' /etc/fstab

bei dir ausspuckt.

Hab gerade mal auf mehreren verschiedenen Maschinen getestet (überall gleiches 
Resultat):

~ # cat fake_fstab

Die "sichere" Variante der awk-Zeile wäre aber in etwa:

awk '($1 ~ /^(\/|UUID|LABEL)/ && $2 == "/" && NF == 6 && int($6))' /etc/fstab

da mit der jetzigen Variante im 6. Feld auch eine beliebige nichtnumerische  
Zeichenfolge (z.B. "no") akzeptiert werden würde. Den expliziten Test "!= 0" 
und das Kommando "{ print }" kann man weglassen, da default.

Darum geht's aber gar nicht. Die Zeile findet sich so bei mir und Emil 
in /etc/init.d/checkroot (aus baselayout) und funktioniert. Die Frage ist, 
ob sie bei André auch so vorhanden ist und falls nicht, ob daher sein 
Problem kommen könnte.

Also scheint doch mit der fstab was nicht zu stimmen. Kannst Du mir die mal 
komplett schicken (als Attachment, nicht per Copy/Paste in die Mail 
gepackt).

Wobei da hätte ich auch früher drauf kommen können, denn ich hatte die
