Achso, Du meinst die Testing Version von Sylpheed-claws. Das Problem trat
ja mit 1.0.5 auf. Da gibt es das Useflag ja nicht:
mail-client/sylpheed-claws-1.0.5 -clamav +crypt -dillo +gnome +imlib
+ipv6 -kde -ldap -maildir +nls -pda +pdflib +spell +ssl -xface

Ja, das ist seltsam. Warum steht 'imap' nicht in use.defaults drin?
Andererseits ist sylpheed-claws-1.9.13 das einzige Paket, das ich kenne,
welches 'imap' auswertet. Vielleicht ändert sich das in der Stable
Version ja noch...

DW.
