Warum? Genau weiß ichs auch nicht, aber ich könnte mir vorstellen, dass
eben das System die Kontrolle darüber haben soll, ob und wann Daten auf
die Platte geschrieben werden sollen und diese Funktion nicht einer
unkontrollierbaren Intelligenz der Hardware überlassen werden soll.

Und wie? `hdparm -W 0 /dev/hda` sollte für die erste Platte helfen.
