[gentoo-user-br] Várias versões de Python

Pessoal,

Estive olhando meu Gentoo, notei que tenho 4 versões do python instaladas.

# eselect python list
Available Python interpreters:
  [1]   python2.5
  [2]   python2.6
  [3]   python2.7 *
  [4]   python3.1

O sistema está todo certinho, na atualização eu fiz python-updater e está
rodando já a uma semana sem problemas.
É seguro remover as versões antigas (2.5 e 2.6) python ?

Mas qual a diferença ?
O python-updater não migra tudo ?

Eu vou supor que você tem poucos pacotes que dependam do python e os que
tem o python-update tenha migrado tudo. Mas a versão 2.7 ainda não está
totalmente conclusiva em *todos* os pacotes do sistema e é bem provável
que você venha a precisar dela em algum momento. Sugiro manter as 3
versões 2.6, 2.7 e 3.1. Aliais, eu mantenho apenas a 2.6 e a 3.1. São as
mais estáveis.

Eu aqui não estou nem usando o python 3. Prefiro esperar mais um pouco, tive
alguns problemas e julguei que não valia à pena por enquanto.
