Rá! Tive esse problema ontem também.. mesmo compilando o tal de evdev como módulo no kernel, e compilando o pacote correspondente, não funcionava teclado e mouse nem por decreto.
Só voltou a funcionar quando removi o pacote libpciaccess e baixei o xorg-server para a versão 1.3.0.0-r6 novamente.
Mesmo assim, ainda não consegui alcançar os FPS exorbitantes do chemonz não... estou até com inveja.. hehe
Com a minha placa GeForce 8600GS 512/128(ou 256, não lembro) não estou atingindo mais que 29800 frames.. e isso com kde-3.5.9 e sem compiz.....
Estou abismado com o teu resultado, chemonz...
