Você teve algum problema ou não sabe instalar mesmo?
Eu recomendo desmascarar os pacotes, e usar a versão mais nova logo.
Eu instalei recentemente as versões abaixo sem problemas:
vmware-server-2.0.1.156745-r2
vmware-modules-1.0.0.24
vmware-vix-1.6.2.156745-r1
