I'm with Grant in that I don't think this will be finalized anytime in
the near future.

Lately my opinion is leaning to the "screw it!" side as most developers
don't see the value in it and want to fight the idea anyway.  So if a
misuse of Gentoo ever occurred, just leave it up to them to defend their
copyrights.  It won't be possible, but I figure the risk of something
like PearPC-CherryOS ever happening and not being able to solve it is
worth it compared to trying to convince the developers that what we are
doing is good for them.
