[gentoo-trustees] Logo and name usage by the unofficial Gentoo wiki

Hi all

The gentoo-wiki.com web site is using the Gentoo name and logo for some time
now. I now see that they are starting to sell CDs [1] which look too
official to me.

Can we contact the Gentoo Wiki folks and ask them to adhere to the guideline
[2] set forth on our web site?

Apologies if this comes through twice...my mail server is acting odd.

I agree...I am also going to contact CafePress once the release
crazyness has subsided and I have time again to get them to deal with
some stores which are selling "Gentoo" merchandise.

On a side note what does everyone think of the Distro of the Month
e-mails that we have received? I think it would be good publicity but
want a vote on it before we give the go ahead.

I have another German site which sells Gentoo coffeemugs in
their store...  But as Daniel said: more after this release.

Someone should atleast send a response to indicate that:
	A) We're alive
	B) And we'll think about it and get back to them

Grant forwarded the post to PR, which may be a more appropriate place

The PR-team are mainly trustees (according to those who
receive the pr@ emails).  But I didn't received Grant's
forward on this alias.  And I'm not sure if that team is
fully operable, as it seems to be a bit unorganised for some
time now (like, who responds on answers, release
information, events, ...).

I received the mail (on trustees as well, but I thought it was spam). I
replied to it (with pr@ in the Cc) telling them that the Gentoo distribution
is free for download.

I have not gotten any replies on it.
