Okay, I'm going to try to do some slight updates of our foundation page
tonight (most importantly the list)..  I thought maybe the Foundation
needed some kind of logo of it's own so I came up with the following 2
things.  (okay, it's not much of a unique "logo", just the Gentoo logo
and some text..  I suck at graphics, but I have a buttload of fonts so I
thought maybe something would come out nice).

Does either strike a fancy?  We could put a scaled down version at the
top of our Foundation pages, use it in any documents produced, etc..
etc..   Or we could scrap it, as you can probably tell I didn't put too
much time/effort into it.

The idea is the same as I had in my mind (use the Gentoo logo and just add
"Gentoo Foundation" to it). I wouldn't call it a Gentoo Foundation logo but
due to the lack of something better ... :)

Your second image is plain ugly (sorry), the first one is better but since
there is a plethora on fonts available, I'm sure you can come up with a
better one :)

Well.  I don't like both ;-)  The fonts are too ugly, I
would stick with a simple non-serif font (Arial, Helvetica,
Nimbus Sans, Bitstream Vera Sans).

Another thing is the logo.  I guess we need to use a fax
from time to time.  This full-coloured, shadowed logo is a
pain for this.  At my university I recently found out, that
Linux Users, who know the distributions, recognise the
Gentoo Logo even when it is only outlined.  Probably we
should try such a version?

Let me see, if I can use the gimp that well ;-)
