Daniel,
Thank you very much for the signed copyright and marks transfer
agreements, as well as the domain transfer. I'm still a bit worried
about those copyright assignment forms that some of our devs signed,
however. Although I'm pretty sure that your copyright assignment
ensures that any new content that those devs puts in CVS will now
belong to the Gentoo Foundation, the contracts themselves are still
with Gentoo Technologies, so (I think!) it is up to Gentoo Technologies
to either transfer the contracts to the Gentoo Foundation or to release
the devs who are under contract from their contract. The latter would
be simplest, and I've included a form for you to sign if you wouldn't
mind. (I'm including the .sxw version as well as a pdf in case you
need to make changes.)
Thanks,
g2boojum
PS. Please let me know what we owe you for shipping costs.

Shouldn't legal stuff like this need to be notarized?

Hi Grant,
I don't believe that something like this is required.
Just a request - I don't want this to sound like a complaint, but it
kind of is. I'm again performing legal work on behalf of the
Foundation, and I don't want to be in this position.
If you think there may be any outstanding issues with the transfer,
can you discuss it with your attorneys first and determine if the
issue is real? Then I can avoid paying an attorney to address concerns
that might not be real issues. Are you guys able to reach your
attorneys?
Regards,
Daniel

My apologies. I was trying to be helpful because I was under the
impression that you were going to be quite difficult to reach for some
time after tomorrow, but both you and dmwaters are quite right that I
should have gone through the proper channels.
