Subject: [gentoo-soc] R_Overlay: Automated overlay maintenance - progress report #3
Date: Sun, 30 Jun 2013 18:30:08 +0200 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <CAGrucu3VnsNK5XD9Yw=oBvzEhjYq_iisWeLjju0R0KDB000ZNg@mail.gmail.com> (raw)
Hi everyone,
== Brief summary of this project ==
This project is a continuation of last year's project, "Automatically
generated overlay of R packages". Its aims are extending overlay
creation and, more importantly, automated overlay maintenance.
For reference, the roverlay git repo can be found at [0], which also
provides some documentation [1].
== Progress of this week ==
* wrote documentation for "distmap" and "run hooks"
* added SLOT handling to the dependency resolver. depres is now able
to resolve dependency strings (=input, from R package files) as
slotted dependencies (=output for ebuilds). This feature (and its
documentation) is near completion, but needs some minor changes in
order to be useful.
I did not fully accomplish what I've planned for this week due to an
ongoing exam, which means that I'm slightly behind schedule, but I'm
confident to catch up soon (next week).
== Plans for the next week ==
* complete SLOT handling feature
* start with overlay verification - structural testing
