Subject: [gentoo-soc] R_Overlay: Automated overlay maintenance - progress report #12
Date: Tue, 17 Sep 2013 09:44:47 +0200	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <CAGrucu1h__Lpcc98KEouh-QxWenkr4Rf37K--EpUxgo3cksP7g@mail.gmail.com> (raw)

Hi everyone,

== Brief summary of this project ==

This project is a continuation of last year's project, "Automatically
generated overlay of R packages". Its aims are extending overlay
creation and, more importantly, automated overlay maintenance.

For reference, the roverlay git repo can be found at [0], which also
provides some documentation [1].

== progress from Sep 5 to Sep 16 ==

* a lot of minor changes/fixes, e.g.
-> a hook for pushing the overlay to a git repo (after overlay creation)
-> cleanup of roverlay's ebuild
-> write stats to a simple file
-> add LICENSE variables via package rules

* wrote roverlay-setup, a script which is able to configure and set up
roverlay. It also offers rudimentary support for managing hooks (which
is going to be extended).

== Plans for this week ==

* add "managing hooks" to roverlay-setup
* feature consolidation, code/doc fixup/cleanup
