Hello, all.
Short summary: PMS Test Suite is a suite of tools and a test library
to test any of the Gentoo Package Managers for compliance against
the Package Manager Specification.
The project is running on schedule.
This week brought (in pms-test-suite):
- eclass testing API,
- tests for eclass metadata inheritance,
- fixes to ebuild metadata checks,
- second testing release,
- tests for eclass dependency inheritance.
Changes in gentoopm:
- fixed closing bashserver,
- autodetecting whether environment is bzipped2 or not,
- a new API with:
* PMPackage being a subclass of PMAtom,
* .atom, .id properties deprecated,
* .metadata[] deprecated,
* atom-like package property accessors (.key, .slot, ...),
* .description, .homepages,
- added package state to .key (installable/installed),
- split installable and installed packages into subclasses,
- added real package sorting for paludis,
- added .sorted property with best package sort means available,
- a lot of small fixes and improvements.
Next week should bring:
- some more metadata accessors -- to finally get rid of .metadata[]
in pmsts (or .metadata[] will be moved into pmsts),
- finally package grouping,
- still need a nice idea for RDEPEND=DEPEND fallback test,
- finally implement generating PM call command-line.
