Hi Gentoonians :)

I recently decided to upgrade my squeezeboxserver package so I could make use of some new features, and to avoid continuous firmware upgrades when switching between local server and mysqueezebox.

Ever since making this decision, I have encountered a plethora of problems that I am unable to resolve.

In making package upgrades, python got borked, which screwed up emerge. After doing a manunal install of python (i know, bad idea) i have since been able to recompile various packages.

I have also upgraded from kernel 2.6.24-r7 to 2.6.32-r7 in this process as packages were no longer supported for my kernel, or the newer packages weren't.

At present, I cannot get sqlite, db, apache, samba to compile.

Revdep-rebuild and python-updater both encounter various package errors.

Db-4.7.25-p4 encounters the following errors, and all the following packages fail in similar ways, mostly due to autoconf.

***** autoconf *****
***** PWD: /var/tmp/portage/sys-libs/db-4.7.25_p4/work/db-4.7.25/dist
***** autoconf

configure.ac:318: error: possibly undefined macro: AC_PROG_LIBTOOL
If this token and others are legitimate, please use m4_pattern_allow.
      See the Autoconf documentation.

I really need some help to get my system back up and running.

I don't particularly want to reinstall due to the nature of some installed services and configuration - i don't think I could replicate it so easily heh

If you need some other information, let me know.
