Does anyone know if it's safe to remove python-2.2 from my (otherwise up-to-date) system?
It appears that all my dependency-checking tools can't differentiate between slotted
versions of python. But my home system -- which was recently freshly installed -- only has
python-2.3 on it.
thanks,
b

As long as /usr/bin/python is a symlink to /usr/bin/python-2.3, you can safely
unmerge python-2.2.
