use
# revdep-rebuild --soname=libmysqlclient.so.12
as suggested from Lance Albertson in this thread, look like the best
solution to rebuild everything was using mysql-4.0 libraries.
For the record it's
libmysqlclient.so.12 = mysql-4.0
libmysqlclient.so.14 = mysql-4.1
libmysqlclient.so.15 = mysql-5.0
