NO! sbcl is the best lisp to build and use maxima. The workaround 
(implemented in recent maxima ebuilds in the main tree) is to always call 
sbcl with --no-sysinit --no-userinit. Then the mess created by the 
common-lisp heard will not affect building maxima.
