In any event, there's a proposal on the table (http://wiki.axiom-developer.org/VoteASuggestionForGold) to create a new "Gold" branch, which is as close as Axiom gets to a "beta" or "release candidate" as far as I can tell. I'm in the process of testing this on my AMD systems (one Athlon TBird, one Athlon XP and one Athlon64 X2) at the moment. I'm not quite ready to file an enhancement request in Bugzilla -- they only have two votes so far for the proposal, one of which is mine. ;) But if I can get it to build it should probably at least fit into the science overlay. I think they have some Google Summer of Code work going on, too. -- gentoo-science@gentoo.org mailing list
