I committed ecm-6.3 to the overlay. I think it includes gmp-5 support.
Mandriva uses it with sage but they also have a patch for sage-core
that is related to gmp-5 so you may have other problems compiling
sage-core or possibly at runtime. I will look at these later.
If you encounter any other problems do not hesitate to report them!
build log is good and so is emerge -info.
