Hi Marek,

IT could very well be that this command is intended to generate the sage.g 
file. We are still investigating what goes wrong for you. -p seem to strip some
formatting from gap it looks weird with it but it does have an effect even if 
it is undocumented. 
Do you have any "locale" set on your machine? Have tried to build sage the 
normal way - ie as recommended by the sage dev and if so, was it successful?
