Following up on the new blas/lapack system:

I'm just starting out with blas/lapack and found the mentioned doc quite
helpful to get started with it on gentoo.

Maybe the new science overlay wiki would be a good place or is it not intended
to hold stuff like this? It would be nice to have place to publish
information at, other than the mailing list, imho.

Cheers

Markus

We actually do have a place on the main site for science
related things
http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/science

However, the lapack/blas page needs to be updated. There's
an open bug for this (#189680) but nothing has happened
apparently. I will try to update the page on the weekend.
Also, is it just me or is it fairly difficult to get to this
page from our main page? We might want to try to make
this page more visible and add more material to it.

cheers,
Markus

Well, the "Projects" link is the second one on the very top of the
homepage. What more could happen?

Thanks,
Donnie

You are of course correct! Somehow, I was expecting to find
the blas/lapack guide somewhere in docs and it didn't even
occur to me until a while later to go via the project
page itself. Some days ....

cheers,
Markus

Ah. You can ask the docs team to link in docs from project pages. File a
bug to 'em. Think I did that for the modular X guide on the desktop page.

Thanks,
Donnie
