I think that sci-vis would be a perfect place for, > for example, VTK. It is because you cannot fire up a lib and run it to do something, other=20 programs use it to do something like visualisation. Therefore sci-libs woul= d=20 be a much more appropriate place as it is a scientific library - to be usef= ul=20 somebody needs to build an application that uses it. Again this is my opini= on=20 and I welcome discussion on the matter. I don't see any reason to start=20 placing libs in there though, or any of the other sci-* categories. --nextPart1238599.DrzJhUopY9 Content-Type: application/pgp-signature -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.2 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQBD3dVfzgRsaX1BF70RArgPAJ94ojlPXAB433KHxq2prAZwdrbGhgCghM9X JxJRPO7f0jHKfDG94+yUw/c= =o4AR -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --nextPart1238599.DrzJhUopY9-- -- gentoo-science@gentoo.org mailing list
