hi all
I saw a topic about ParaView ebuild in archive. I'm also interesting it in
this application. I did some investigation and found that ParaView source
already contain VTK. of course it would be preferable to have VTK package
installed separately, but as well as I understood it is hard to compile
ParaView using external VTK, and ParaView developers prefer not to do that (I
found something like that in their maillist)
one more interesting visualization application is VisIt
http://www.llnl.gov/visit/about.html
it also based on VTK.
Unfortunately I cannot spend much time now for compilation from source and
ebuild writing (and I'm not experienced in it), but I'm ready to be a tester.
best
Maxim
