This both requests are fixed in the latest draft version of the handbook.

Which isn't enabled per default via the default-x86-2004.2 profile.
If someone from releng can confirm i'll remove this note.

I did s/XFree/xorg-x11 in some docs, XFree still occurs in the various
hb-install-*-kernel.xml files while installing "xfree-drm". Any hints?

As xorg-x11 doesn't have a "bindist" useflag i assume i can remove the
note about using "USE=-bindist" during kde-grp installation in chapter 12
(hb-install-finalise.xml)?

Ok, folks

These are the HTML and TXT-files:
http://dev.gentoo.org/~dertobi123/2004.2-docs/handbook-$arch.tar.gz

These are the PDF-Files
http://dev.gentoo.org/~plasmaroo/handbook-test/handbooks-2004.2-r1.tar.bz2

For x86, I downloaded Tobi's tarball and put the PDF for x86 in it. But
you can handle as you like (for example, AMD64 will also put the x86 PDF
into their docs on the livecd)

Greetings
  Beejay

xfree-drm should be fully compatible with xorg-x11, if that's your
question. It still doesn't work on 2.6 to my knowledge, however, so the
kernel DRM must be used instead.

bindist has been removed from xorg-x11 because the microsoft fonts are no
longer distributed within the ebuild -- they're separate in media-fonts.

Yup, that was my question.

Currently the docs state that "xfree-drm only works with a 2.4 kernel".
Would it be useful to add a note saying "with a 2.6 kernel use kernel
DRM"?

I removed the explanation of USE="bindist" while installing KDE using
GRP from the docs.

Thanks,
  Tobias

Can't hurt. Might make a note that xfree-drm-4.3.0-r8 or greater is
expected to work on 2.6. Also might want to say 2.6 and greater kernels
rather than just 2.6 to make it 2.7 safe.
