Hi,

I was just about to build a pre-grp-set. Some notes:
- both nforce-net and nforce-audio are masked; I
removed them for now. Is there a substitute?
  (I didn't find anything via emerge -s)
- iproute is an unknown package. Change it to
  iproute2

That's about it for know. If anything else comes up,
I'll leave a note here.

regards
  Benni

And directly the first followup:

replace xfree with xorg in both srcset and pkgset. :)

nforce-net is deprecated in favor of forcedeth, which is in the kernel
and requires no third party packages.

nforce-audio on the other hand only works w/ 2.4. I am not sure why it
is masked ... There is no info in the ChangeLog or either of the
ebuilds. I would get in contact with the sound herd and see what is up.

Thanks Benni :)

Hi folks,

another suggestion from my side would be to replace
openoffice with openoffice-bin. Saves build time and
tmp-space on the buildbox. And also the chances are
99% that the result of the compile run does actually
work :)

I don't know how/if openoffice-bin is handled for other
archs (amd64, ppc, sparc).

regards
 benni

I talked to eradicator this morning. nforce-audio is covered by ALSA.

I second this. It would keep amd64's GRP closer in line with x86, since we
only use openoffice-bin at the moment. OpenOffice can't be 64bit-compiled
from source on amd64.
