I'm receiving the following error during initrd with my -test6 CD (amd64).
Apparently this is preventing /dev from being properly populated with
detected device nodes.

Booting.mount wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock, /tmp/.initrd/dev:
failed to move over /dev tree!

Any ideas? wolf31o2, if you could boot that CD and take a look, that would be
much appreciated. This issue is preventing PC's based on the Silicon Image
chipset from seeing their drives in /dev, even though they show up in /proc.

This is probably also causing problems for others, like polvi's issues with
installing on the new dev.g.o box that has a Promise RAID chipset.

Did plasmaroo fix you up or do you still need help with this?

plasmaroo took care of me. Looks like the new CD is working as it should.
However, there is some concern that some features are missing from
gentoo-dev-sources (I mentioned this to you in IRC). vanilla-sources
(reportedly) and mm-sources-2.6.7-r6 (I checked myself) both have support for
the NVidia SATA chipset, while gentoo-dev-sources (as of 2.6.7-r11) does not.

Since that chipset is becoming more prevalent on amd64 machines, this is a big
deal for us.
