I searched for "samba livecd" on the forums and only found one thread (out of over 1.25 million posts) where it was even discussed.[1] That thread is almost 2 years old. Searching the gentoo-user archives, I didn't find a single thread where users were asking for samba support on the livecd. Conversely, I have spoken to *several* people at the various LWEs who still use the Gentoo Linux 1.2 installation CD. Why? Because it's ~15MB and isn't loaded with bloat. (their words, not mine) I don't think the user demand is out there to support further increasing the size of the LiveCD, especially with something as large as samba. --kurt [1] http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=24991
