The first step is likely to see what Gentoo already has planned. Basically, we've been planning on doing something very similar to your idea for some time now. There's not really anything new in your idea. It is good, but it isn't anything new. We're moving in that direction. We're just moving slowly so that we can do it correctly and within the realm of what we're able to support with our limited manpower. --=20 Chris Gianelloni Release Engineering Strategic Lead Alpha/AMD64/x86 Architecture Teams Games Developer/Foundation Trustee Gentoo Foundation --=-HpkU84S143FqG3+2ICw3 Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Description: This is a digitally signed message part -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.7 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQBHO0FhkT4lNIS36YERAjjFAKC0/FpP7HWnJ1V622gE5pCp1q2udQCePAuV +7SI9yivh7oAiQAR9/X7Igo= =uj7v -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-HpkU84S143FqG3+2ICw3-- -- gentoo-releng@gentoo.org mailing list
