Linky for the lazy:

Comment #5 made me pretty upset. This guy paid money for our CD set and
it doesn't work. This is definitely a very big black eye for Gentoo as
a whole. Our installation media is the first experience people will
have with Gentoo. With that being said, I am going to make sure that I
help out in any way possible to help test the 2004.2 x86 (and amd64)
LiveCD's. I have 4 different (p3, athlon-mp, xeon, opteron) SMP
machines and can test several configurations with them (scsi, scsi raid,
ide). I also have a laptop, so I can test PCMCIA.

I'm sending this to let everybody know. If you need my help, please
ask. I will gladly help test. After all, how can I recommend Gentoo to
people if our installation media is b0rked?

Thanks you for listening to my little spiel and have a great day.

Chris -
Thank you for your time in advance :) Testing is the most important
thing that we can do, and it shows when we do not get enough test time
in.

To accomodate the testing that we need, I may readjust the schedule to
give us 1.5 months (if possible) for testing. GRP and stages don't
really need any testing, so they can be built ~2.5 weeks before the
release date. LiveCDs on the other hand, need time to test. If the dates
work out, I will shuffle things around. Expect everything to be
finalized after the Monday manager's meeting.

Cheers,
