Hi all,

The GDP has received a nice contribution document which covers the upgrading
part of a Gentoo installation. More importantly, it tries to document the
use of profiles and when a user needs to change his profile symlink.

Profiles are one of the less documented aspects of a Gentoo installation and
I think such a document is really interesting. However, because it's not
that documented and transparent to the user, I cannot verify validity of the
document (and it's not something that can be tested as well).

Can all profile experts and architectural release coordinators check the
content of http://dev.gentoo.org/~swift/gentoo-upgrading.html and see if it
contains any falsehoods, mistruths or is missing vital information?

Wkr,
      Sven Vermeulen

Very well done - especially the release philosophy bit. You hit releng's
main function right on the nose.

The content is very good, and the only problem that I could find is the
lack of a heading for the supported profiles table. Could you perhaps
add in some <th>'s so that the users know what they are looking at in
those columns?

Cheers,
