Hi,

pvdabeel@Dual-G5 profiles $ find . -iname deprecated
./default-amd64-1.4/deprecated
./default-hppa-1.4/deprecated
./default-ppc64-1.4/deprecated
./hardened-x86-1.4/deprecated

Is there an official policy regarding deprecation? Should the 1.4 
profile be deprecated when 2004.1 is released?

Pieter -
As of now, there is no official policy. As arch lead though, you have
control of your profile; so if you want to deprecate it, it is your
perogative. Note though, that how profiles are handled is going to
change for 2004.1. Seemant and Pebenito are working on stackable profile
integration that will enhance and clean up our current profile
situation. Stay tuned :)
