I don't really understand what 'consistently' means here.

You may want to clarify if that relates specifically to Gentoo usage of
Nitrokey, or should include generic remarks about it.

The combination of these two will in many cases allow to uniquely
identify the developer. There are countries with only one dev, and
there won't be many persons in the low and high age brackets.
These questions are optional of course, but then again, they won't be
of any help if nobody will choose to answer them because of the above.

Yes, the answers if published in full may uniquely identify some
developers. I would propose redacting the value of those fields for
entries with high uniqueness.
However, I would point out that developers ALREADY reveal their country
in the public parts of their LDAP data.
The age bracket is the only change here, and I'm less convinced of the
value of age bracket in this survey, so we could probably drop it.

This places me in two age brackets. Should I pick 35-45 or 45-55?
Kind regards,

Good catch. I meant to not have overlapping values.
Fixed version:
- Age bracket [0-17, 18-24, 25-34, 35-44, 45-54, 55-64, 65+]
However, does anybody see specific uses for this question, otherwise we
maybe just drop it?

I don't see any use for it, let alone a specific one. I would drop it.
The sample size will be too small to make any inferences based on this
but may lead to unwarranted conclusions. I'd say the same about the
country, but I understand that that may be helpful to understand
shipping issues.

This count will give only a lower esfimate of what number of
signature are made for the Gentoo git. You also need to commit
number of git pushes, since we require them to be signed as well.
Another option is automatic rebase: this is how most commits to the
tree are done: git pull; do some job; repoman commit; git pull &&
git push — and most likely rebase will occur during git pull && git
push, so the number of signature with be doubled. Sometimes it will
be tripled, since I have had failures with git pulll && git push
when someone made commits in-between.

I think this list should be extended: now it assumes that keys are
used for either Gentoo git commits or non-commit signing or
encryption. But keys mays also be used or git signing in other
projects and for gpg-based authentification (auth subkey).
Also nirokey has other usage than gpg signing: it can be used as
TRNG, for pam auth, OTP storage, encrypted password safe and so on.
Such usage should be included to the survey as well and add the
"other" field for other cases.
Best regards,
Andrew Savchenko

I don't think a single figure would allow me to respond adequately.
Before I obtained one through the foundation, I wouldn't have
considered it at any price.
Since obtaining one, I'm re-evaluating that in terms of "would the
cost(unit + shipping) be worth it"
( In that, the expected value was lower than the actual value )
