I'd held off on accepting my own nomination until I wrote my manifesto. I accept my self-nomination, and hope to continue as a trustee explicitly as the treasurer to financial continuity to the Foundation. I've been the treasurer of the Gentoo Foundation since 2015, including a period over 2017-2018 where I was the treasurer only, and not a trustee. In my role as treasurer, I've handled bookkeeping, reimbursements, expenses, financial statements, and liaised with our tax professionals to ensure taxes were filled. I'm here to keep the money flowing for the needs of the Foundation. I hope to have the FY2023 financial statements (period ending 2023/06/30) ready before the end of the voting window. If the other trustees will continue the actual umbrella handover work, I'm here to support that, including financial due diligence, but I'm not going to say that I will lead the umbrella handover. I would also like to take this opportunity to encourage further funding requests be made to the Council. The Umbrella transition will take a small percentage of whatever funds we transfer in (as well as a percentage of income after the transfer): spending it up-front will reduce the amount of fees in that Umbrella transition. Infrastructure is relatively well equipped for capital expenditures at this point: limited by hosting locations & power constraints rather than finances (The only meaningful large expense would replacing the Gentoo-owned hardware hosted at Manitu, but that's a much larger discussion). --=20 Robin Hugh Johnson Gentoo Linux: Dev, Infra Lead, Foundation Treasurer E-Mail : robbat2@gentoo.org GnuPG FP : 11ACBA4F 4778E3F6 E4EDF38E B27B944E 34884E85 GnuPG FP : 7D0B3CEB E9B85B1F 825BCECF EE05E6F6 A48F6136 --c96N5o/oEdjLz01V Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2 Comment: Robbat2 @ Orbis-Terrarum Networks - The text below is a digital signature.
