Team,

After almost half a day of nominations being open and everyone being
shy, I'll kick things off.

For council, I would like to nominate
robbat2 and dilfridge

For trustees, robbat2 is half way through his two year term, so just
dilfridge

These two people are our SPI contacts. I feel its important to the
transition to have both SPI contacts on both bodies as the plan is to
have the trustees go away.

I would also like to nominate the other current council members:
- ajak
- mattst88
- mgorny
- sam
- soap
- ulm

The current council did it job nicely in my opinion, so I think
nominating them again is the correct thing.

I would also like to self-nominate myself. Being proxy maintainer for
around half of the current council was fun, so I think I should also try
to be in council.

I accept the nomination for council.

For clarity of readers who are not on -core; I previously announced on
-core that I intended to run as a council member, for the same reasons
of clarity in transition.

- I've been a developer since 2003.
- I was previously a council member, back in 2006.
- I've been leading the Infrastructure team since 2007: much of that
time was shared leadership with others.
- I've been an Foundation trustee almost continuously since 2009 (I took
a 6 month break in 2017, where I was only the assistant treasurer).
- I've been the Foundation treasurer since 2015, minus that same 6 month
  gap.

Thanks. I've given it some thought and I'm going to decline.

I've been on the Council for 4 years, and I think we've accomplished
the biggest goal I had: to join an umbrella organization. I haven't
had many free weekends either, so I think someone else with more
cycles to devote to Council activities will do a better job than me in
the next year.

I would like to nominate you, arthurzam, as well. You did a fine job
proxying for me many times.

Agreed, lot of work was done this term, especially towards winding
down the foundation.

And thank you for the nomination! I accept.

Hi Team,

This is a quick reminder that we are just over halfway through the
nomination period.

So far we have, for council[1]:
ajak accepted
arthurzam accepted
dilfridge accepted
robbat2 accepted
sam accepted
soap accepted
ulm accepted
mgorny no response
mattst88 declined

And for trustees[2]:

dilfridge accepted
soap accepted

Please let me know if something is missing or incorrect.

Since we are running two elections in parallel, I would like to ask
everyone to *explicitly* state for which election(s) you are
nominating/accepting/declining to avoid confusion on our side.

Best regards,
Andrew

Hi Team,

Another quick reminder, we're 5 out of 14 days into this years elections!

So far we have registered about 20% of the eligible votes for both
council and trustees elections.

Don't forget to also 'votify --submit ...' you ballot(s), otherwise they
will not be counted.

Best regards,
Andrew

Hi Team,

As we are nearing the end of the 2024 elections in ~2.5 days, here's
another short update.

Turnout for trustees so far is ~40% and for council ~30%. Which I think
is a bit on the low side, so if you haven't voted yet, please take a
minute or two to do so this weekend!

And don't forget to also 'votify --submit ...'! We've had one vote on
pending for quite some time, which means that a ballot was created but
not yet submitted. It is of course not required to immediately submit
your ballots, but please do so before the end of the election otherwise
that ballot will not be counted.

Best regards,
Andrew
