I don't think we need to treat this situation any differently than any other. I think the only real question as far as maintainership goes is whether he is gone for good or not, in which case existing packages to go maintainer-needed. If somebody wants to start co-maintaining some of those packages today they don't need to wait for a council blessing. They should just add themselves to the metadata. That doesn't preclude hasufell from continuing to co-maintain when he returns. -- Rich
